The Other Place: Chapter Nine“What is that?” John asked, pointing to the large, dilapidated building he knew to be a supermarket. It was the second time he had passed it, the first occasion being too terse and unusual to stop and question it’s purpose.     “It’s where we store all of the wheat, barley and other crops once they’ve been harvested,” Pristina replied.  John’s eyes moved forward to rest on the structure next to the barn, the sun slightly breaking through the pale grey sky directly above it, revealing the first glistening drops of light rain as it gently began to fall.      The Other Place: Chapter Nine

The Other Place: Chapter EightAlthough not particularly hungry, John forced himself to eat the food presented to him, partially out of politeness, but mainly due to Thomas’ advice. Having something in his stomach would ease the transition he was told, that when he crossed over back into his world it would have an unsettling affect on his body, plus the bread would absorb the liquid he would have to imbibe to get there in the first place.  Thomas slowly and sure-footedly rose from his seat and shuffled across the room, rummaged through the cupboards and returned to where John was seated, with a glass and a silver spoon in his hands. The Other Place: Chapter SevenIn the first few seconds of John’s eyes opening he expected to see the recognizable environment of his bedroom, but became disorientated at the sight of the dimly-lit room he was in. He realised that he was teetering on the edge of the bed, having been rather uncomfortably forced there by Pristina, who had taken over the majority of the available space. He carefully turned over, conscious of his movements so as not to fall out of the bed, and stopped dead when he could just make out the silhouette of a figure creeping through the doorway. Firstly I'd like to apologise to everyone in my watch list for not viewing or commenting on anything they have uploaded, as my free time seems to diminish quicker with every day that passes. Due to work and having two small children, I seem to either have no time left or I'm too damn tired to do anything towards the end of the day. I will get round to looking at everything, probably pictures first, and I'll print out the written pieces and read them in my lunch break at work. If only I had more time...
